Pass on the Knowledge: Switched on and Rectified

Prologue: Exploring Maturity
“Since time immemorial Divinity creates mortals whom could later become their own version of divinity. Biologically everything is like plants, things with links, capacities and rechargeable batteries. Divinity is not insubstantially invisible, but more boldly tangible, eerie and evolutionary enhanced and arcane. Through the pursuit of years of spiritual introspection, countless hours of intellectual debate, searches both academic and personal, the mysteries of existence begin to unfold. A sudden marvellous revelation reveals the secrets of the universe in a flash of divine lightning of inspiration. By wanting to choose to obtain first the enlightenment of meditation only then can one access supernatural powers as these powers are 'side effects' to be utilised when necessary and unavoidable, whether honourable or reasonably pragmatic. One who attains enlightenment are known to not over-indulge in the desire to amuse themselves with their reality warping abilities.

Maturity is the ability to respond to the environment in an appropriate manner. This response is generally learned rather than instinctive. Maturity also encompasses being aware of the correct time and place to behave and knowing when to act, according to the circumstances and the culture of the society one lives in. Adult development and maturity theories include the purpose in life concept, in which maturity emphasizes a clear comprehension of life's purpose, directedness, and intentionality, which contributes to the feeling that life is meaningful. The status of maturity is distinguished by the shift away from reliance on guardianship and the oversight of an adult in decision-making acts. Maturity has different definitions across legal, social, religious, political, sexual, emotional, and intellectual contexts. When one earns the worthy title of 'One Who is Continually Maturing' one's beliefs and choices should be respected, as it is not easy to earn such acknowledgement and recognition and when one receives such a title it is also acknowledged that this person has also attained competent confidence, stability and reliability.

The best optional choice of method to ascend to superiority requires extraordinary resilient patience, the progress is most interesting as one analyses such an adventure with many side quests. Precious are the rewards of mental harmony of which earns one the access of one's more divine unexplored latent adaptive capable functions. To smartly overachieve and exercise experimentation to re-explore everything to find the unobserved and explore beyond the unobserved as well as push one's limits of competent multitasking.”

Chapter one: Innovated

In the year 2115 a maturing scientist inventor/innovator named 'Socrates Darwin' begets a perfected human, his recently completed investment, with reactive adaptation – the ability to develop a resistance, immunity and resilience to whatever one was injured by or exposed to. These effects can be permanent or temporary shown as features – named 'Athena Evergreen' the first artificial demigod, she, body and mind, is extremely capable to learn much easier than the average human of this Twenty Second century whom are already mildly more enhanced than their ancestors a hundred years before through artificial regulated, established and approved gifts, such as body advantages, enhancement and modifications all microscopic and things as easily visible as organs. Athena is capable of alien psychic wizardry through observations and re-enacting of the unexplored as she discovers from the moment of her birth whence she curiously desires to keenly and indomitably experiment, research and develop through her programmed refined nature how to combine everything she discovers, thinks and learns to survive through growing stronger, healthier and with less vulnerability. Through timing and intensity Athena can control how she manifests adapted affects and how long these things can be visibly real before disappearing disguised, minimized and latent to be used again. There are obviously transitional evolving metamorphoses where it is dangerous to distract and sabotage her species thus could cause something tragically ugly. Through the continuous scrutiny of all still living creatures as well as resurrecting those once extinct creatures from the past done by so many scientists of the past it is now possible for cross species splice eugenics of which Socrates Darwin can try guide Athena how to access manipulation and modification of bone structures, both size and shape, and how to allow organs and muscles to grow, do and provide more. It is Socrates's hope that Athena shall have rich opportunity to surpass her creator's potential and accomplishments and through her individual heightened and special interpreted perception nurture through serendipitous inspirations and her preferences solve, explain and demonstrate as many enigma that Doctor Socrates Darwin cannot yet solve and understand such things himself and together with these experiences could help her improve civilised functionality with her genius technique through combining her aspects of scientific knowledge for practicality. Thus Athena also has been gifted with extra yet to be fully explored emotions, senses and levels of intelligence through a domino affect of learning. Through organised simulative adaptation application technology of which has absolutely replicated how reality and biology functions and prevents, Athena and others like her can now and continue to manifest an unlimited resilient change to the body to survive with appropriately convenient fitness and comfort.

Chapter two: Teacher and student romance

Socrates's age is slightly ancient, little more than a hundred years yet his longevity has been increased and he still keeps fresh youthfulness in his maturing growth. Maturing has a new meaning used nowadays for those people who should be old and dying yet are instead growing stronger and more capable of greater excellence with their vigour and wisdom. Maturing is like undying agelessness, you cannot tell how old another is but you know they are experiencing a maturing phase where growing old is prevented and one continues to grow with evolving features slowly manifesting through transitional periods. While this a great feat for modern sapient humans to develop such technology and change themselves until now, Athena is a superiorly innovated modern human female of who already has been artificially innately gifted with the latests of gifts only adults can affect change unto themselves but also those gifts of which can only be gifted artificially before birth and these gifts shall develop and continue to mature with limits not yet revealed.

Athena has grown from the test tube phase to continuing her growth as an infant in an artificial transparent womb-like tank and then continuing beyond infancy in the womb to the end of adolescence with optimally effective controlled and accommodating nourishment and mental stimulating simulation education through a super computer linked direct to her brain with a tutoring game helmet device. Athena has boldly thick glossy raven black hair, impeccably smooth and unblemished matte pale white skin deep dark emerald green iris eyes and blood red lips, nipples and vagina, with Amazon tallness, robustly lean muscle tone and a beautiful hour-glass shape and a pretty heart-shaped face and sharp voluptuously supple and firm curvaceous shapes of the rest of body.

Athena soon easily calibrates and adopts the mannerisms of the futuristically urbane cosmopolitan civilised culture introduced to her by Doctor Socrates Darwin as she commences with dressing and cosmetically accentuating herself, feeding herself, exercising her muscles and joints as she familiarises how to master the use of each herself and walking about the city of 'Merit' as she explores, develops a mental map pinpointing where she is and where everything else is and how to best take advantage to travel and guide herself under the supervision of her watching guardian, creator and advisor. After every practise of adapting to everything Athena becomes more aware of her progressing experience skill points and thus becomes more dynamically social and meritoriously talented. As Athena embraces the vast opportunities of experiences of the once unexplored she becomes more involved and recognised by observers. Athena acquires admiring muses and jealous hating rivals through the scenarios of her experimentation of lifestyles among the citizens and their reactions to her choice of how she interacts and expresses her knowledge and opinions.

Athena, after a while, finally decides what she wants to do with herself career-wise after observing and experimenting every aspect of every respectable cause, trade, service and study – Athena decides to do an overachieving scheduled bit of everything to be fit at as many things to survive as one of the best, happy and prosperous people of lifeforms.

Doctor Socrates Darwin and Athena continue to live together, at first they share a platonic respectful and polite relationship, however these two lonely extraordinary persons fall in erotic love as a romance inevitably soon blossoms. After many nights and days of affable bliss Athena discovers she, both mind and body, is experiencing lust and demanding euphoric satisfaction to extremely passionate intimacy. Athena is not able to not show her feelings to Doctor Socrates Darwin who also by now regards Athena voluptuously irresistible and must fulfil both their needs for rapturous intimacy like magical puzzles pieces of which feel, once completely fitting, a miraculous big bang of super kinky pleasure. After the sexual tensions and flirting of foreplay both their inhibitions are temporary switched off and the release themselves to vehemently attack each with mischievous romp and the erogenous zones are experimented by both Socrates and Athena for optimal efficiency and clever stimulative technique.

Chapter three: The Future Continues

Socrates and Athena are gladly happy that they surrendered their inhibitions forever when not necessary according to morals and embraced an exclusively passionate intimate relationship together, thus they have decided to get engaged to be married, a long engagement so that Athena can all learn about Socrates's life history and Socrates can learn how Athena's personality shall develop and deepen with alluringly mysterious and complicated intriguing intricacy.
Together they commence preparing plans for their wedding and reception as well planning how to have the perfect marriage life. Athena mentions to Socrates that she is not yet ready to get pregnant of which Socrates is charmingly, lovingly and respectfully patient and indulgent to Athena. Thus Athena has now taken a contraception pill to avoid pregnancy from their previous unprotected passionate coitus.
After finalising their plans Socrates and Athena are ready to enact their plans with excitement and celebration and soon travel to their honeymoon eden vacation for a year.

Chapter four: The Next Generation, The New Superior Species

On their anniversary they return home to the city of Merit to live their extraordinary lifestyles in peace and ready to survive anything. Since Athena's birth and exposure to the media and public as a celebrity, the populace of planet Earth are now trusting Doctor Socrates Darwin's science and desiring an evolution to continue happening to everyone, thus they have also decided to have their sperm and ovaries prepared to be treated to continue the investment in their legacies through designer babies.
Parents can choose when to welcome their children from the artificial womb any time after infancy, such as when the child has matured to the phase of pre-adolescence, adolescence or young adult, much like how it was for Athena. Children can be born and welcomed to their family already educated through excellent virtual tutoring well-disciplined, well-mannered and well-behaved and ready to bond with their family with no dysfunctionality. There are career caste legislative systems, of which later use aptitude examinations as nurture eventually and additionally renovates a person's personality, already ready to be enforced and accommodate future investment.

Since a hundred years ago most problems have been solved and rectified. The Earth is healthier again, its people have enjoyed peace since the early Twenty First century contemporaries committed to sacrifice and abandon their cruel and self-destructive desires to live more boastfully infallible and divine lifestyles because those of generations had realised they had out-evolved their primitive obstacles to urbane scholarly, sport and career-centric transcendence. Humanity has come a long way to this peaceful urban and responsible order stewardship, such evidence there is are that careers, entertainment, sport and studies are more elaborately next-level depth of supreme refined maturity.

For a hundred years humanity has remembered from their many reminders that to transcend they should not deny themselves of exercising their bodies and minds as they should not evolve into stupid weaklings in their complacency but do the extreme opposite by always doing everything properly justified.  The governments of the world agreed that they had not choice but to enforce everyone to be investments and to motivate each to overachieve and that their weakest links should be meet high standards. Apart from passing on the knowledge, establishing and maintaining a collective of utopias was equally importantly relevant and needed.

For a hundred years humanity has used robots to explore the cosmos for better understanding of reality. Until maturing replaced grow old humans could not be expected to survive spacecrafts for distant voyages, but that has changed. By now robots have prepared habitable planets with amenities for humans before humans would arrive to colonise and adapt separate from this humanity's original homeworld. Obviously by now solar energy has been effectively charging planet sized batteries, constructed by robots but guided by the Earthling humans, to supply Earth and its colonial worlds with more energy than they need, the collection of the energy is transported by cargo spacecrafts carrying many rechargeable smaller batteries. A new multi-purpose industrial lubricant oil has been invented and innovated upon many times of which does not pollute the environment, water and soil, it is called 'Plant Lubricant', no more polluting than olive oil.

Presently, in the year 2115, all the countries, rulers and the civilians, have mutually agreed to be optimally meritocratic upon the foundation of Democracy, thus concerned with excellence, equal importance of modern adapted Rights and Responsibilities and enforced regulations and rehabilitating of thought-pre-criminals. There is grateful freedom in generous rules and laws of which encourage equally excellent quality moral alternatives instead of wrong and evil. Humanity is still aware that while most if not all have embraced altruistic, loving and polite behaviour there is always the likelihood that either future generations may hubristically and ignorantly rebel from this way of life or if an extraterrestrial species approaching Earth are cruelly hostile and intent on violent rapacious invasion then the Earthlings shall be ready to pre-emptively revisit and employ a hundred year's worth of modernly innovated securely invested prepared defence against possible foes.

Doctor Socrates and Mrs Athena Darwin dream of one day soon to commence exploring the many colonial planets like scholarly tourists and travel through space observing all its marvellous phenomena. For now Athena will carry no children, rather instead continue enjoying her maiden freedom until she is ready to psychologically endure such a glorious miracle of intelligent assembling manifestation of intricate growth of innovated inter-species amalgamated perfection.

The End,

Historical and cultural background
Various myths tell the stories about the quest for rejuvenation. It was believed that magic or intervention of a supernatural power can bring back the youth and many mythical adventurers set out on a journey to do that, for themselves, their relatives or some authority that sent them.

An ancient Chinese emperor actually sent out ships of young men and women to find a pearl that would rejuvenate him. This led to a myth among modern Chinese that Japan was founded by these people.

In some religions, people were to be rejuvenated after death prior to placing them in heaven.

The stories continued well into the 16th century. A famous Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León led the expedition around the Caribbean islands and into Florida to find the Fountain of Youth. Led by the rumors, the expedition continued the search and many perished. The Fountain was nowhere to be found as locals were unaware of its exact location.

Since the emergence of philosophy, sages and self-proclaimed wizards always made enormous efforts to find the secret of youth, both for themselves and for their noble patrons and sponsors. It was widely believed that some potions may restore the youth.

Another commonly cited approach was attempting to transfer the essence of youth from young people to old. Some examples of this approach were sleeping with virgins or children (sometimes literally sleeping, not necessarily having sex), bathing in or drinking their blood.

The quest for rejuvenation reached its height with alchemy. All around Europe, and also beyond, alchemists were looking for the Philosopher's Stone, the mythical substance that, as it was believed, could not only turn lead into gold, but also prolong life and restore youth. Although the set goal was not achieved, alchemy paved the way to the scientific method and so to the medical advances of today.

Serge Abrahamovitch Voronoff was a French surgeon born in Russia who gained fame for his technique of grafting monkey testicle tissue on to the testicles of men while working in France in the 1920s and 1930s. This was one of the first medically accepted Rejuvenation Therapy (before he was proved to be wrong around 1930–1940). The technique brought him a great deal of money, although he was already independently wealthy. As his work fell out of favor, he went from being a highly respected surgeon to a subject of ridicule. By the early 1930s, over 500 men had been treated in France by his rejuvenation technique, and thousands more around the world, such as in a special clinic set up in Algiers. Noteworthy people who had the surgery included Harold McCormick, chairman of the board of International Harvester Company, and the aging premier of Turkey.

In fiction, there is an increasing amount of work being done on possibilities of rejuvenation treatments, and the effect this would have on society. Misspent Youth as well as the Commonwealth Saga by Peter F. Hamilton are one of the most well known examples of this, dealing with the short and long term effects of a near perfect 80-year-old to 20-year-old body change with mind intact. Also the Mars trilogy deals with a much more imperfect type of rejuvenation, including problems such as long term memory loss and sheer boredom that comes with such age. Also the post mortal characters in the Revelation Space series often illustrate this issue with long term or essentially infinite lifespans, sheer boredom induces them to undertake activities of extreme risk.

Modern developments
Aging is an accumulation of damage to macromolecules, cells, tissues and organs. If any of that damage can be repaired, the result is rejuvenation.

There have been many experiments which have been shown to increase the maximum life span of laboratory animals, thereby achieving life extension. A few experimental methods such as replacing hormones to youthful levels have had considerable success in partially rejuvenating laboratory animals and humans. A recent experiment involved breeding genetically manipulated mice that lacked an enzyme called telomerase, causing the mice to age prematurely and suffer ailments. When the mice were given injections to reactivate the enzyme, it repaired the damaged tissues and reversed the signs of aging. There are at least eight important hormones that decline with age: 1. human growth hormone (HGH); 2. the sexual hormones: testosterone or estrogen/progesterone; 3. erythropoietin (EPO); 4. insulin; 5. DHEA; 6. melatonin; 7. thyroid; 8. pregnenolone. In theory, if all or some of these hormones are replaced, the body will respond to them as it did when it was younger, thus repairing and restoring many body functions.

Most attempts at genetic repair have traditionally involved the use of a retrovirus to insert a new gene into a random position on a chromosome. But by attaching zinc fingers (which determine where transcription factors bind) to endonucleases (which break DNA strands), homologous recombination can be induced to correct and replace defective (or undesired) DNA sequences. The first applications of this technology are to isolate stem cells from the bone marrow of patients having blood disease mutations, to correct those mutations in laboratory dishes using zinc finger endonucleases and to transplant the stem cells back into the patients.

Stem cell Regenerative medicine uses three different strategies:

Implantation of stem cells from culture into an existing tissue structure
Implantation of stem cells into a tissue scaffold that guides restoration
Induction of residual cells of a tissue structure to regenerate the necessary body part
A salamander can not only regenerate a limb, but can regenerate the lens or retina of an eye and can regenerate an intestine. For regeneration the salamander tissues form a blastema by de-differentiation of mesenchymal cells, and the blastema functions as a self-organizing system to regenerate the limb.

Yet another option involves cosmetic changes to the individual to create the appearance of youth. These are generally superficial and do little to make the person healthier or live longer, but the real improvement in a person's appearance may elevate their mood and have positive side effects normally correlated with happiness. Cosmetic surgery is a large industry offering treatments such as removal of wrinkles ("face lift"), removal of extra fat (liposuction) and reshaping or augmentation of various body parts (abdomen, breasts, face).

There are also, as commonly found throughout history, many fake rejuvenation products that have been shown to be ineffective. Chief among these are powders, sprays, gels, and homeopathic substances that claim to contain growth hormones. Authentic growth hormones are only effective when injected, mainly due to the fact that the 191-amino acid protein is too large to be absorbed through the mucous membranes, and would be broken up in the stomach if swallowed.

The Mprize scientific competition is under way to deliver on the mission of extending healthy human life. It directly accelerates the development of revolutionary new life extension therapies by awarding two cash prizes: one to the research team that breaks the world record for the oldest-ever mouse; and one to the team that develops the most successful late-onset rejuvenation. Current Mprize winner for rejuvenation is Steven Spindler. Caloric restriction (CR), the consumption of fewer calories while avoiding malnutrition, was applied as a robust method of decelerating aging and the development of age-related diseases.

Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence (SENS)
The leading modern exponent of scientific rejuvenation is the biomedical gerontologist Dr. Aubrey de Grey. He calls his project to reverse the damage we call aging "SENS" (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence). He has proposed seven strategies for what he calls the "seven deadly sins of ageing":

Cell loss can be repaired (reversed) just by suitable exercise in the case of muscle. For other tissues it needs various growth factors to stimulate cell division, or in some cases it needs stem cells.
Senescent cells can be removed by activating the immune system against them. Or they can be destroyed by gene therapy to introduce "suicide genes" that only kill senescent cells.
Protein cross-linking can largely be reversed by drugs that break the links. But to break some of the cross-links we may need to develop enzymatic methods.
Extracellular garbage (like amyloid) can be eliminated by vaccination that gets immune cells to "eat" the garbage.
For intracellular junk we need to introduce new enzymes, possibly enzymes from soil bacteria, that can degrade the junk (lipofuscin) that our own natural enzymes cannot degrade.
For mitochondrial mutations the plan is not to repair them but to prevent harm from the mutations by putting suitably modified copies of the mitochondrial genes into the cell nucleus by gene therapy. The mitochondrial DNA experiences a high degree of mutagenic damage because most free radicals are generated in the mitochondria. A copy of the mitochondrial DNA located in the nucleus will be better protected from free radicals, and there will be better DNA repair when damage occurs. All mitochondrial proteins would then be imported into the mitochondria.
For cancer (the most lethal consequence of mutations) the strategy is to use gene therapy to delete the genes for telomerase and to eliminate telomerase-independent mechanisms of turning normal cells into "immortal" cancer cells. To compensate for the loss of telomerase in stem cells we would introduce new stem cells every decade or so.

Maturity (psychological)
In psychology, maturity is the ability to respond to the environment in an appropriate manner.

The age or qualities assigned for each of these contexts are tied to culturally-significant indicators of independence that often vary as a result of social sentiments. The concept of psychological maturity has implications across both legal and social contexts, while a combination of political activism and scientific evidence continue to reshape and qualify its definition. Because of these factors, the notion and definition of maturity and immaturity is somewhat subjective.

American psychologist Jerome Bruner proposed the purpose of the period of immaturity as being a time for experimental play without serious consequences, where a young animal can spend a great deal of time observing the actions of skilled others in coordination with oversight by and activity with its mother. The key to human innovation through the use of symbols and tools, therefore, is re-interpretive imitation that is “practiced, perfected, and varied in play” through extensive exploration of the limits on one’s ability to interact with the world. Evolutionary psychologists have also hypothesized that cognitive immaturity may serve an adaptive purpose as a protective barrier for children against their own under-developed meta-cognition and judgment, a vulnerability that may put them in harm’s way. For youth today, the steadily extending period of ‘play’ and schooling going into the 21st century comes as a result of the increasing complexity of our world and its technologies, which too demand an increasing intricacy of skill as well as a more exhaustive set of pre-requisite abilities. Many of the behavioral and emotional problems associated with adolescence may arise as children cope with the increased demands placed on them, demands which have become increasingly abstracted from the work and expectations of adulthood.

Socio-emotional and cognitive markers
Although psychological maturity is specifically grounded in the autonomy of one’s decision-making ability, these outcomes are deeply embedded in not only cognition, but also in lifelong processes of emotional, social and moral development. Various theorists have provided frameworks for recognizing the indicators of maturity. Erikson's stages of psychosocial development describe progression into adult maturity, with each maturational stage characterized by a certain kind of psychsocial conflict. The “Identity” stage is characterized as being mainly concerned with issues of role exploration and role confusion, and also the exploration of sexual and other identities. Adolescents navigate a web of conflicting values and selves in order to emerge as 'the person one has come to be' and 'the person society expects one to become'. Erikson did not insist that stages begin and end at globally pre-defined points, but that particular stages such as “Identity” could extend into adulthood for as long as it took to resolve the conflict. Piaget’s theory of cognitive development defines the formal operational stage as a plateau reached once an individual can think logically using symbols and is marked by a shift away from “concrete” thought, or thought bound to immediacy and facts, and toward “abstract” thought, or thought employing reflection and deduction. These theories have shaped the investigation of adolescent development and reflect the limitations of cognition prior to adulthood.

While maturity is often termed as a label awarded to a child, research has revealed that children themselves hold a clear sense of their own autonomy and personal jurisdiction. For instance, American elementary-aged school children demonstrated an acknowledgement of the limits of their parents’ authority over their choice of dress, hairstyle, friends, hobbies, and media choices. But this constrained earlier concept of personal autonomy later develops into a broader understanding of individual freedoms, with an understanding of freedom of speech as a universal right emerging by elementary school age. However, younger children do have difficulty with maintaining a consistent view on universal rights, with 75% of first-grade children expressing uncertainty about prohibiting freedom of speech in Canada. But this same study also found that 6-11 year old Canadian children rejected nondemocratic systems on the basis of violating principles of majority vote, equal representation, and right to a voice, which provides evidence for an emerging knowledge of political decision-making skills from a young age.

Biological and evolutionary markers
Where maturity is an earned status that often carries responsibilities, immaturity is then defined in contrast by the absence of serious responsibility and in its place is the freedom for unmitigated growth. This period of growth is particularly important for humans, who undergo a unique four-stage pattern of development (infancy, childhood, juvenility, adolescence) that has been theorized to confer a number of evolutionarily competitive benefits (Locke & Bogin, 2006). In infancy, motor development stretches long into the early years of life, necessitating that young infants rely on their mothers almost entirely. This state of helplessness provides for an intensely close bond between infant and mother, where separation is infrequent and babies are rarely out of a caregiver’s arms. For non-human primates and all non-human mammalian species the growth of the first permanent molar marks the end of lactation and the beginning of foraging, setting an early requirement for independence. Human children, on the other hand, do not have an advanced motor control capable of foraging and also lack the digestive capacity for unprepared food, and so have always relied on the active involvement of their mother and other caregivers in their care into childhood.

The pre-frontal cortex, which is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as planning, decision-making, judgment and reasoning, develops and matures most rapidly during early adolescence and into the early 20s. Accompanying the growth of the pre-frontal cortex is continued synaptic pruning (the trimming of rarely used synapses) as well as an increased myelination of nerve fibers in the brain, which serve to insulate and speed up signal transmission between neurons. The incomplete development of this process contributes to the finding that adolescents use their brain less broadly than do adults when asked to inhibit a response and show less cross-talk (communication across diverse regions of the brain). The brain’s “cross-talk” may be related to decision-making concerning risk-taking, with one study of American adolescents finding delayed reaction time and decreased spread across brain regions in a task asking them to determine whether a dangerous action is a good idea or not. Steinberg observes that there is close overlap in the activated brain regions for socioemotional and reward information, which may pose a challenge when making decisions in the most high-risk peer contexts. One study found that preference for small immediate rewards over larger long-term rewards was associated with increased activation with regions primarily responsible for socioemotional decision-making.

Legal and political issues
The definition and determination of maturity has been applied to the issue of criminal responsibility of juvenile offenders and to a number of legal ages. The age of majority, the most broadly applied legal threshold of adulthood, is typically characterized by recognition of control over oneself and one’s actions and decisions. The most common age threshold is 18 years of age, with thresholds ranging from 14 to 21 across nations and between provinces. Although age of majority is referred to as a jurisdiction’s legal age, the legal ages of various other issues of legal maturity like sexual consent or drinking and smoking ages are often different from the age of majority. Aside from age-based thresholds of maturity, restrictions based in a perceived intellectual immaturity also extend to those with a variety of mental impairments (generally defined as anyone with a mental disability that requires guardianship), with laws in place in most regions limiting the voting rights of the mentally disabled and often requiring the judgment of a court to declare fitness. Similar to those restrictions placed on children, persons with mental disabilities also have freedoms restricted and have their rights assigned to parental guardians.

One reason cited for why children and the mentally disabled are not permitted to vote in elections is that they are too intellectually immature to understand voting issues. This view is echoed in concerns about the adult voting population, with observers citing concern for a decrease in ‘civic virtue’ and ‘social capital,’ reflecting a generalized panic over the political intelligence of the voting population.[22] Although critics have cited ‘youth culture’ as contributing to the malaise of modern mass media’s shallow treatment of political issues, interviews with youth themselves about their political views have revealed a widespread sense of frustration in their political powerlessness as well as a strongly cynical view of the actions of politician. Several researchers have attempted to explain this sense of cynicism as a way of rationalizing the sense of alienation and legal exclusion of youth in political decision-making.

Another reason cited against child voting rights is that children would be unduly biased by media and other societal pressures. On the whole, this view is unsubstantiated, with interviews with youth revealing that they often have a great deal of knowledge about news programming, media bias, the importance of evidence, evaluation of arguments on the merits of their evidence, as well as a preparedness for forming arguments of one’s own using available evidence. In cognitive research, some studies conducted in the 1970s offered a skeptical view of adolescent understanding of democratic principles like freedom of speech. However, this research is now recognized to have used challenging and contradictory vignettes that placed a high demand on still-developing verbal and metacognitive skills which are not recognized as requisite to an understanding of individual political rights. More recent research has unveiled that even elementary school age children have a concept of freedom of speech and that by ages 8–9 this concept expands beyond a concern for personal autonomy and onto awareness for its social implications and the importance of the right to a political voice.

Maturity has also been taken into account when determining the fairness of the death penalty in cases involving mentally retarded or underage perpetrators. In Atkins v. Virginia, the U.S. Supreme Court decision banning the execution of mentally retarded persons, was decided on the grounds that “diminished capacities to understand and process mistakes and learn from experience, to engage in logical reasoning, to control impulses, and to understand the reactions of others” was cited as the evidence supporting a reduced view of criminal culpability.

Cultural and religious issues
In Jewish religion, the “becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah” (literally “an [agent] who is subject to the law") refers to the ceremony declaring that a Jewish child is morally and ethically responsible for their actions, is eligible to be called to read from the Torah, as well as responsibility to abide by the 613 laws written in the Torah. Traditionally, this ceremony awarded adult legal rights as well as the right to marry. Similarly, Christian churches hold Confirmation as a rite of passage in early adolescence. The rite holds fewer practical responsibilities than the Bar/Bat Mitzavah, but carries ethical and moral consequences. In all churches, of age Christians are responsible for going to church on Sundays and for confessing their sins periodically; within certain denominations it is also a common practice to warn children that it would be a mortal sin (an act punishable by banishment to hell) to lapse in these responsibilities.

Prom is celebrated throughout many countries of the world following or prior to final coursework for the year or after graduation. Various parties, ceremonies, or gatherings are held, ranging in their focus on academics, bonding, or as a farewell. In some Western European countries a post-degree party consists of burning notebooks and final projects. In certain countries, such as Colombia and the United States, the prom has come to take on a dual role of celebrating both academic achievement as well as sexual maturity. Quinceañera, in parts of Latin America, Début in the Philippines, Ji Li in China, and sweet 16 in the United States coincide closely with graduation, which highlights the importance and broad recognition of the transition; however, these celebrations have been most prominently celebrated only by girls up until recently.

A number of traditions are associated with the earlier critical maturation point of menarche. A girl’s menarche is celebrated in varying ways, with some traditional Jewish customs defining it as a contamination, with the customs shaped around cleaning it away and ensuring it does not make anything or one unclean.[29] This served a historical purpose of blocking women from taking part in economic or political events. The Maori of New Zealand, the Tinne Indians of the Yukon, the Chichimilia of Mexico, and the Eskimos, among other groups, all hold varyingly negative beliefs about the time of menarche and what dangers it brings.

For boys and young men, practices such as scarification and hazing act as a rite of passage into a group. These practices test and assert the expectations for pain tolerance and allegiance for men in those groups. Various branches of the military hold similar formal proving rituals, such as boot camp, that, aside from serving to train entrants, also demarcate an initial recognition of maturity in the organization, with successive experiences building upon that. Many occupations and social groups recognize similar tiers of maturity within the group across many cultures, which emphasise maturity as a form of status.

Age
While older persons are generally perceived as more mature and to possess greater credibility, psychological maturity is not determined by one's age. However, for legal purposes, people are not considered psychologically mature enough to perform certain tasks (such as driving, consenting to sex, signing a binding contract or making medical decisions) until they have reached a certain age. In fact, judge Julian Mack, who helped create the juvenile court system in the United States, said that juvenile justice was based on the belief that young people do not always make good decisions because they are not mature, but this means that they can be reformed more easily than adults. However, the relationship between psychological maturity and age is a difficult one, and there has been much debate over methods of determining maturity, considering its subjective nature, relativity to the current environment and/or other factors, and especially regarding social issues such as religion, politics, human stem-cell research, genetic engineering and abortion.

Applicability
Lux: A Miraculous Method

Chapter one: Exploring Maturity

Divinity creates mortals whom could later become their own version of divinity.

As an original next-level evolutionary species, artificially designed, with controlled nourishment and supplements and grown in a (man-made) womb device Lux is introduced to her guide, Rex, an expert of everything explored thus far in the modern present future. Rex encourages Lux to smartly overachieve and exercise experimentation to re-explore everything to find the unobserved and explore beyond the unobserved as well as push her limits of competent multitasking. Lux develops a high functioning sociopathic investigative addiction because of this encouragement. This is her story showing before she was, when she was young and how she continues to mature forever.

Chapter two: Immemorial
Before and while Lux grows unconscious in an artificial transparent womb tank a hundred years has past since the year 2015 (secularly adopted calendar),
Chapter three: Experimenting rites of passage

In this scene you observe Lux and Rex, appearing in your most preferred and comfortably savvy fantasied likenesses, style and mannerisms limited by your imagination and fetishes, they are busy with commencing fulfilment of Lux's destined purpose beginning with the primitive rites of passage to more modern urbanely approved moments of thorough proper learning within a laboratory within a mansion in an approved newly renovated town of this futuristically clean, tidy and effectively problem solving peaceful world.
Lux begins with equally emulating, mastering and performing the gender roles of the past in a virtual simulation game, afterwards Lux is encouraged to combine these gender roles and preview a multi-tasked equal gender role before discovering how lifestyles of modern contemporaries are enacted and thus combine all to result in a final understood behaviour and duty.
Next are the transition periods between age phases of genders of the past and present where one has to prove oneself so that one can boast of one's glory and utilise the now open access of one's privileged rewards are explored and experimented by Lux.
Next are the essential careers of the past and present of which are the reason for the excellent comfort felt by many people over the centuries.
Next are the cause and effect of rights and responsibilities and the practical exemplar discovery that no good deed does not go unpunished and that if another is cruelly unfair in treatment it matters only the success of not allowing the unfairness to control one's life and thereby not allowing oneself to be meek and weak to fight for what one needs and wants.
Next Lux is shown inspiring examples of both men and women of the past and present being self-sustaining and close as one can to being fully independent.

After a full twenty fours of Rex's time-travelling virtual reality game Lux concludes her anthropological education suddenly realising her appetite for nourishment, habit to wash off her odorous sweat, desire to smooth her muscles with a warm full body massage and fatigue for slumber. Throughout each scheduled list of things to do Lux feels satisfaction and ready for a rest. While she sleeps Lux dreams of amalgamation of her new experiences.
