All is Vanity, or is it?

"The artist invites us to pay lip-service to condemning her," writes Edwin Mullins, "while offering us full permission to drool over her. She admires herself in the glass, while we treat the picture that purports to incriminate her as another kind of glass—a window—through which we peer and secretly desire her." I like this paragraph, it is insightfully eccentric and audaciously mischievous.

Vanity has two meaning, that which is vain, futile, or worthless; that which is of no value, use or profit, and also what is excessive pride in or admiration of one's own abilities, appearance or achievements.

Vainglory is unworthy boastful glory however I aspire to be worthy of boastful glory one day soon and continue to progressively become better in potential talent and wisdom.
